Once you create a floor plan on the ExpoFP website, you get access to the front view of your event. It is what your attendees and exhibitors will see and interact with.
What attendees can do in the front view
Search company, booth or category
The window on the left shows the list of all the companies exhibiting at the event. The search bar in the top left corner allows attendees to search for a specific exhibitor, booth or category.
Multiple exhibitors can share one booth, and their names will be listed one under another. If there are more than five exhibitors assigned to one booth, they will be displayed as "# exhibitors" instead of listing each of them. When clicking on such a booth, you will see all the companies in the pop-up window on the left.
Bookmark exhibitors
Attendees can bookmark the companies they'd like to visit during the event. By clicking the hamburger icon and choosing Bookmarks, they can see and share the list of all the bookmarked exhibitors.
Navigate around the show
If you use our wayfinding, your attendees can find the shortest route from one location to another. To do that, they can click the Directions button on the top left corner and choose their current location.
See stage schedules
If your event has stages, you can add session and seminar schedules. Your attendees can stay up-to-date by clicking on a stage for information.
What exhibitors can do in the front view
Reserve or buy a booth online
Exhibitors can see all the available booths on the floor plan. They can reserve or buy the ones they want (unless you deactivate those buttons in your back end). Exhibitors won't be able to reserve or buy booths that are "On Hold" or already assigned to someone else.
See competitors
Exhibitors can also see other companies exhibiting at the event and choose their spot, considering their competitors' locations. You can always hide all or certain exhibitors from the floor plan.
Check and edit their profiles
Once you confirm their registration and assign them to a booth, exhibitors can see how their company's profile is displayed live and apply any changes in their Exhibitor Portal.
Share profiles
Exhibitors can also share the link to their booth on social media by clicking the Share button.
If you’d like to disable this button, go to Settings - Floor plan and check the box Hide "Share" button.
How to get the link to the front view
You can see the "floor plan link" at the top of the Dashboard . Alternatively, if you are in a different section, you can click View live , which will open the floor plan in a new browser tab.
Frequently asked questions
Can I change font sizes inside the booths/spaces?
The font sizes within the booths can't be changed since they adjust automatically to the booth size and zoom level.
Can I have one version of the front view for attendees and one for exhibitors?
Currently, there's only one version of the floor plan, both for attendees and exhibitors.
Can I change the link/domain of my floor plan?
To change the link of your floor plan go to Settings and edit the corresponding field (the previous link will become inactive). We don't offer the option to use your own domain; however, you can embed your plan as an iframe to avoid showing any links.
Can I hide other spaces from the exhibitor list on the floor plan view?
Yes, you can hide other spaces from the exhibitor list and the search bar. Go to Settings - Floor plan to the "What to show on start" section and check the box Show other spaces.
Can I change the "flashing" color for selected booths?
The flashing color for a selected booth is red by default and currently can't be customized.
Is the floor plan view different on mobile devices and kiosks?
Our floor plans have a consistent look across all devices (desktops, mobile phones, screens, kiosks, etc.) with a few interface differences: for example, in the mobile view the search bar is located at the bottom instead of the left side. Open any floor plan on your mobile phone to see for yourself.
Can I display the list of categories along with the exhibitors?
Yes, you can show your categories at the top of the exhibitors list on the floor plan view. Go to Settings - Floor plan to the "What to show on start" section and check the box Show categories.
Why is my floor plan too small or appears zoomed out?
There is most likely an accidentally created object far away from the rest of the floor plan. You can find it and delete it in the Designer. Alternatively, adjust the viewbox to define the area you want to be shown when the floor plan is loaded.
Why do I only see a part of my floor plan on view?
You can adjust the viewbox to define the area you want to be shown when the floor plan is loaded.
