This article is based on Designer 2.0, and some features may work differently if you are using the first version. In this case, please contact us as soon as you have any questions.
Don't forget to save your progress by clicking the Save button. If you need to revert your floor plan to a previous version after making changes, you can use the version history feature available in the ExpoFP Designer. This feature allows you to view and restore earlier versions of your floor plan with just a few clicks.
Steps to Restore a Previous Version
• Open the floor plan in the Designer.
• Locate the clock icon in the top-right corner of the interface.
• Click the clock icon to open the version history panel.
• Browse through the list of previously saved versions of your floor plan.
• Select the version you want to restore by clicking on it.
• Confirm your selection to revert the floor plan to the chosen version. This process ensures that you can easily undo changes and return to a prior state of your floor plan whenever needed.
How to draw irregular shapes
With the Polyline
, Bézier curve
or Polygon
tools, you can draw irregular shapes and turn them into booths, spaces , or background shapes. Drawing a shape with one of these tools, just click where you want the corner to be, and then continue moving your mouse. By holding Shift, you can constrain curves to even angles (45° or 90°).
Polyline
will create a transparent (stroke-only) shape with straight lines. You can fill it with any color using the Properties panel. Bézier curve
will create a filled shape with sides that can be rounded or curved. You can add curves to the lines by using a double click on the shape and dragging the blue nodes. Polygon
will create a filled shape with straight lines.
How to align objects
The first option is to align objects manually using grid (more about grid settings here).
The second way is to use the Align
tool. It is useful if you need two or more objects to align a certain way in relation to each other.
Align to Center
, so that centers of elements match.Align to Left
to align all selected elements to the left edge of the leftmost object.Align to Right
to align all selected elements to the right edge of the rightmost object. Align to Top
to align selected elements to the top edge of the topmost object. Align to Bottom
to align selected elements to the bottom edge of the bottommost object. Align Horizontally
, so that centers of selected elements align by a common horizontal axis. This means all objects will be aligned by their vertical center point. Align Vertically
, so that centers of selected elements align by a common vertical axis, i.e. by their horizontal center point.Distribute Horizontal Distance
to evenly space selected elements horizontally, keeping equal distances between them. After clicking this button, you will see a pop-up window where you should set the desired distance between the elements. The distance is in pixels, but keep in mind the measurement units and scaling. Distribute Vertical Distance
to evenly space selected elements vertically. You also need to set the desired distance in pixels.
