By default, the emails at ExpoFP are sent from [email protected]. If you’d like to send emails from your own email address, you can set up your own custom mail server. The settings are shared among all the events under your account.

Choosing a mail server

Go to "Settings - Mail settings" and choose a mail server.

Configuring the Mailgun server

How to create a Mailgun account

  1. Check your inbox for a "Please verify your Mailgun account" email and click the link.

  2. With your domain set up, you can send more emails, and the emails you send will come from you - you can set this option here. Add your domain name, which can be in ‘your.domain.com’ format or ‘yourdomain.com’.

4. Go to Domains page and pick your new domain from the list.

5. Go to the “Overview” page. Click on the “Select” button inside the API label and copy your domain API key.

How to configure Mailgun

If you have created a Mailgun account or already have one, then you can select the ‘Mailgun’ option and fill out the following fields and click on ‘Save changes’:

  1. API-key: your Mailgun domain API key

  2. Your name: it will be shown as a sender

  3. Mail name: it will be in the email address before @ symbol

  4. Your Mailgun domain name: after @ usually ends with mailgun.com

Configuring the SMTP server

You can select the ‘SMTP’ option and fill out the following fields and click on ‘Save changes’:

  1. SMTP Host: smtp.host.com

  2. SMTP Port: 587

  3. SMTP username: your host username

  4. SMTP password: your host password

  5. From name: sender's name (may be empty)

  6. From e-mail: your host address
